The 12 Cell Salts and their Corresponding Astrological Sign
Astrology has long been considered an important part of medicine. From the early Greek physician Hippocrates, who regarded astrology as an essential piece of a physician’s knowledge, till today, it is common practice in diverse cultures to consult the stars when choosing the best time for a medical procedure or making other critical health decisions.
The 12 zodiac signs offer a method adopted by many to identify which one or which group of the praised cell salts is especially important for a specific individual’s mineral balance and overall well-being.
You can find out more about cell salts and the zodiac and which salt or salts are essential to your health right here in this article!
As Dr. Schuessler’s Cell Salts Therapy gained popularity in the early 20th century, practitioners noticed a connection between the birth month, the ailments most commonly suffered by their patients, and the cell salts.
Most of the modern understanding of the use of cell salts with astrology is based on the work of American physician Dr. George W. Carey (1845-1924), known for being the first to declare that the human body is a “chemical formula in operation”, and his partner and astrologer Inez Eudora Perry.
Together they studied, published, and beautifully illustrated the relationship between the 12 cell salts and their zodiac signs.
The Cell Salts and the Sun Signs
Cell salts and astrology absolutely go hand-in-hand. A good way to start to improve your body’s mineral balance is by taking the cell salt associated with your sun sign. The sun sign is the astrological sign most people are familiar with and helps you easily identify your so-called birth salt. It is believed to be needed and used most by the body.
Following is a description of the cell salts associated with each major sun sign, along with the health conditions and parts of the body they focus on.
Capricorn (December 22 to January 19) — Calcarea Phosphorica
Capricorn is the ruler of the skeletal structure, including bones, joints, knees, and teeth. The idea of the framework of the body fits well with Capricorn's nature which is dependable, serious, but also rigid and inflexible at times.
They resist change and can be stubborn, unforgiving and hard on themselves and others. Calcarea Phosphorica (Cell Salt #2) is Capricorn's birth salt, and it is appropriately also the cell salt for bone strength, calcium absorption, and injury recovery.

Go More In-Depth: Inez Eudora Perry’s Cell Salts and Astrology Chart
Inez Eudora Perry’s extensive work into the connections between astrology and body chemistry led her to a more detailed view on pregnancy, birth, and mineral balance.
She came to the conclusion that the fetus receives tissue salts during the gestation period, but is deficient in the salts which correspond with the months when the unborn was not in the womb.
She recommends the taking of several cell salts according to the chart below.
To use the chart, it is ideal to know the conception date in addition to the birth date in case of a premature delivery.
How to Use the Inez Eudora Perry Chart
Starting from the conception date, move counter clockwise through the circle until you reach your birth date. The cell salts traversed are the cell salts which your body received fully while in the womb.
All cell salts not crossed by the line drawn between the conception and birth date are the salts which the body uses up the most quickly and therefore should be taken on a regular basis.
Or, take your birth salt and several salts corresponding with the signs that follow your zodiac sign.
Example: I am an Aries and was born on March 29. I regularly take my birth salt Kali Phos plus Nat Sulph, Kali Mur, and Calc Fluor.
Together, Dr. George W. Carey and Inez Eudora Perry published a number of books in the early 20th century about the use of astrology to aid in the administration of the Schuessler cell salts.
To this day, their work in cell salts and the zodiac continues to receive praise and wide-spread recognition from natural health providers, astrologers, and home prescribers. The Inez Eudora Perry chart has been taught, practiced, and trusted around the world for over 100 years.
How to Take the Cell Salts
The cell salts are best taken three times a day at least five times a week. For acute conditions, they can be taken as often as needed. Squirt 2 to 3 sprays directly into your mouth and keep liquid in mouth for 15 seconds before swallowing for optimal absorption.
Homeopathy Store offers the 12 cell salts matching your zodiac sign in the form of lactose-free liquid sprays. They contain 80% of distilled water and 20% of organic corn alcohol.
For children 12 years of age or younger, use 1-2 sprays and mix them with a few tablespoons of water in a small glass. Or consider spraying the cell salts onto your child's wrists (inside of wrist) and gently rubbing them in.
Avoid eating and drinking 5-10 minutes before and after taking the salts, water excepted. Cell salts are absorbed by the mucous membranes, not the digestive system and do not offer a risk of overdosing like regular mineral supplements.
