Argentum Nitricum is the remedy for patients suffering from anxiety, nervous movement and confusion, especially following a prolonged period of mental exertion and stress. Symptoms are also felt through incomplete or ineffective digestion which results in gas, bloating in the lower abdomen, and diarrhea that follows eating or drinking. The patient may be anemic, burp frequently, and have a desire for sweets.
Argentum Nitricum or silver nitrate is prepared by liquifying crystals of silver nitrate in a base of alcohol, after which it is diluted with water for the homeopathic use. This polychrest has antiseptic properties and was used in the past to treat wounds and epilepsy.
